Social and emotional learning (SEL) is gaining momentum and the demand from parents, educators, and students for an educational approach that centers on the needs of the whole child continues to grow. Our schoolwide SEL implementation process and tools can help. Join our on-demand course and we’ll guide you in building a plan for systemic SEL implementation in your school community. 


This course is for you if you are: 

  • Leading SEL implementation in a PreK-12 setting as a school principal, assistant principal, school administrator, member of your school's SEL Team
  • Supporting multiple schools to implement schoolwide SEL (e.g., regional or school district SEL specialists, coaches, or coordinators) -- See our course facilitation recommendations document
  • Interested in leading schoolwide SEL implementation  
  • Using the CASEL Guide to Schoolwide SEL and seeking additional support

What will you learn during the course?

You’ll gain the necessary expertise to create an intentional, collaborative process that engages adults, supports students, and creates equitable learning environments that promote academic, social, and emotional learning. After completing this course, you should be able to:

  1. Understand CASEL’s Theory of Action for systemic SEL implementation in service of equity and excellence, including the 10 indicators of schoolwide SEL. 
  2. Develop and apply strategies to promote SEL for students and to strengthen adult SEL competencies and capacity.  
  3. Assess your current SEL implementation, resources, and needs.
  4. Draft goals and begin a plan for implementing and sustaining schoolwide SEL.

COURSE ACCESS

Participants will have access to the on-demand course for 32 weeks, beginning the week of your choice. If you select the Purchase Order payment option, please select a date below that allows for 5-10 business days for the processing and verification of your PO.

Participants will have an opportunity to participate in a longitudinal survey at the end of course. Participation will renew course access for an additional 4 weeks, at no cost.
